Pupils feel safe and are safe.

Bullying is rare. Pupils are adamant that racism and discrimination hardly ever happens and are confident that adults take any incidents seriously and deal with these swiftly.

10th - 14th November Anti-Bullying Week 2025 theme: POWER FOR GOOD!
Anti-Bullying Week 2025 is coordinated in England and Wales by the Anti-Bullying Alliance.

The week  kicked off with Odd Socks Day on Monday 10th November, where adults and children wore odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique, there was some surprising choices!

The main message to our School Community is...
Our call to action:

Every year, bullying impacts the lives of countless young people and silience helps it grow.

This year we are empowering young people to use their POWER FOR GOOD to safely speak up and raise awareness when they see bullying, face to face or lonline.

Lasting change needs all of us, from playgrounds to parliament, our homes to our phones - we all have a part to play.

Together we can use our POWER FOR GOOD to end bullying - for good.

What is bullying?

The repetitive, intentional hurting of one person or group by another person or group, where the relationship involves an imbalance of power.

Bully can be physickl, verbal or psychological.

It can happen face to face or online.

There are 4 key elements to this definition:

  • Hurtful
  • Repetition
  • Power imbalance
  • Intentional

How our school reaches out to stop bullying...
School focus on recommended activities everyone can take to reach out and stop bullying.

In out classes we create art work, look at social stories, read about historical events, problem solve situations,  debate, empathise, and look at ways to remove barriers.

Emotional well-being support is accessed in school for any pupil and family.

This year we explored what banter means and when it becomes hurtful.

Pupil Parliament held an impressive assembly at the start of AB week and shared this message, as well as listening to pupils views and suggestions. Please see below.

Anti-Bullying Alliance patron, CBBC and CBeebies star Andy Day led support for the campaign, with his band Andy and the Odd Socks.

There’s a serious message behind the fun: We’re all unique, all different, and let’s be kind to each other and respect each other’s individuality.
