Friends of Our School

Friends of School are a group of parents who organise fund raising events to purchase extra equipment for school and provide activities for the children.

They organise a variety of fund raising events including Christmas and Summer Fayres, hold family bingo nights, non-uniform days and parties for the children.

Some of the money raised has bought:

  • Equipment for the playground
  • Tables and chairs for the hall
  • Football kits
  • Books for the library
  • Paid for Leavers' parties and Grandparents' Parties
  • And many other activities held within school for the children.

They would like to thank everyone for their continued support and welcome any help from any parents/grandparents or carers. All new ideas for fundraising are welcome.

All events are published in the newsletter and on this website.

If you can offer any help or have any ideas for the Friends of School, please speak to Mrs Greensill, Mrs Stevenson or Mrs Young or any other member of this group.

Past Events

Pantomime 2017

We returned to school on Tuesday 3rd January 2017 and in the afternoon the children watched a pantomime performed by Chaplins Pantomimes. This treat was paid for from the fundraising done by our Friends of School group. This treat was enjoyed by all the children and staff and will be used as a stimulus for writing.

Grandparents' Party

Our annual Grandparents’ Party took place on Tuesday 6th December at 2.00pm. Each class performed at the party for their Grandparents. This event is organised and paid for by Friends of School and hopes to encourage our wider community to keep in touch with each other and enjoy themselves during the festive period.
